If you want to help our program, please donate any dry or canned cat or dog food. AniMeals provides meals to more than 850 animals each month to people in nursing homes, veterans, and people with disabilities. When a volunteer first discovered one of her clients sharing her food with her cats in 1984, she realized how valuable this practice was. In todays world, 13 different distribution centers rely on a dedicated group of 40 volunteers to package and deliver food.
Pet food donations are always welcome at the local food bank. Customers, on the other hand, frequently put their pets needs before their own, which is why this service is so beneficial to pet owners. Pet Pantry Update December :
To reach more pets and owners in our community, we are now partnering with food banks around the county. While we continue to provide much needed food for free to those in need, we are providing more convenient pick-up locations with expanded hours.
The Monmouth County SPCA will be delivering food and supplies to Lunch Break in Red Bank in and Open Door periodically so that pet owners in need can easily attain necessary items.
To inquire and/or get help from either of the locations, please use the contact information provided. If you have questions or would like to donate food, please email !
The Pet Pantry Project helps people in Monmouth County and the surrounding areas keep their beloved pets at home, rather than surrendering them to a shelter by providing food, leashes and other pet care items.
During economic hardship, families often must choose between feeding and caring for their pets and paying household bills or purchasing human food. We believe that, with a strong support structure and access to free or affordable food and supplies, they will be less likely to surrender their pet to a shelter when they find themselves facing that hardship. Temporary access to this support will eliminate the choice of paying a household bill or buying pet food, and reduce the number of pets surrendered to local shelters, which are our goals.

Do you need our help?
In order to help keep pets in their homes when their families are struggling financially, pet food assistance is available through a monthly distribution. The Pet Food Pantry can provide a household with food for up to four spayed and neutered animals for up to six months. If your pet is not yet altered, we can also provide you with information on low-cost spay and neuter options.
This program is designed to assist you in caring for companion animals that have been in your household for 3 months or more. While a member of PFP, you agree not to add or replace your pet population by taking in more animals or allowing animals in your household to breed.
Within 3 months of joining the program, ALL pets in the household MUST be spayed or neutered. We offer reduced fee spay/neuter through IHS Veterinary Medical Center for low-income individuals and families if you need assistance. Subsidized pricing for spay/neuter is $35 for a dog or $10 for a cat. PFP clients qualify to receive veterinary services through our low-cost public veterinary clinic and may qualify for additional discounts based on income and other factors. Contact our clinic at 342-3599 for more details on services and pricing.

We are one of very few cat facilities that accommodate animals with leukemia and FIV. We have separate areas for cats with special needs, so that they receive the care they require and other cats are not exposed to the conditions. In many jurisdictions, a positive diagnosis would mean euthanasia for many of these animals. At the RAPS Cat Sanctuary, they are enveloped in love and care for the rest of their lives.
Our Sanctuary is funded by private donations and through revenue from the Regional Animal Protection Society Thrift Store. Please consider helping our Sanctuary cats through amonthly sponsor or by making an online donation today. Speak with a team member to learn more on how you can help!

Stocking Orange County Food Pantries With Pet Supplies
OC Animal Allies No Empty Bowls program helps people in our community who need time to get back on their feet while preventing their pet from going hungry or being relinquished to a shelter due to lack of resources. We acquire, store, and donate pet food and pet care items to local organizations feeding our low-income community.
Many people in our community simply need a helping paw with feeding their animals for a few weeks as they get back on their feet after losing a job, the death of a family member or recovering from an illness. With help from the community, we aim to prevent pets from going hungry or ending up at a shelter because their owner has fallen on hard times.
Our distribution partners pick up donated food and other available supplies from our warehouse to distribute it at their food pantries. Since homeless pet owners typically cannot carry large supplies of food, the agencies volunteers will bag one weeks worth of food to distribute to them.
