The Forum Shops Dine With A Purpose Sept 1
Dine with a Purpose returns to The Forum Shops at Caesars Palace for its second year. The event offers special dishes from eight restaurants at The Forum Shops throughout the month, with a portion of proceeds from each restaurants featured dish donated to Three Square Food Bank.
This years participating restaurants include: RPM Italian, Joes Seafood, Prime Steak & Stone Crab, Sushi Roku, Carmines Italian Restaurant Las Vegas, TREVI, The Palm Las Vegas, Water Grill and True Food Kitchen. To learn more, visit www.threesquare.org/events and click on Dine with a Purpose.

About Three Square Food Bank
Three Square is Southern Nevadas only food bank and largest hunger relief organization, serving Las Vegas and all of Clark, Lincoln, Esmeralda and Nye counties. Since opening in 2007, Three Square has provided more than 385 million pounds of food to hundreds of thousands of people in need and earned a reputation as one of the most efficient and effective food banks in the country. When the COVID-19 pandemic struck, Three Square immediately implemented a disaster response plan to answer sudden school and business closures, drastic declines in retail food donations, social distancing limitations on volunteer efforts, reduced on-site staff support, and the need for low-contact food distributions. Within days, Three Square had increased food distribution by 250,000 meals a week and increased the capacity of its Call Center to refer Southern Nevadans to available food resources, social services, and unemployment benefits. While Three Squares COVID-19 relief efforts have superseded regular programs and operations for the foreseeable future, it is more committed than ever to its mission of providing wholesome food to hungry people, while passionately pursuing a hunger-free community. Three Square Food Bank has announced the following events with local businesses to continue its fight against food insecurity this September, which has been proclaimed Hunger Action Month by Governor Steve Sisolak.

Combined $150,000 donation from tech company helps food bank further develop support programs through food
LAS VEGAS, Nev. Three Square Food Bank, Nevadas food bank in Southern Nevada and The Just One Project, Nevadas largest mobile food pantry based in Southern Nevada, are expanding their food insecurity programs with the help of a combined $150,000 donation from Google.
Every day hundreds of thousands of people come to Google to search for information on food assistance. Between Thanksgiving and New Year, searches for food banks and pantries spike on Google. In fact, for more than a decade, search interest on Google for food bank and food pantry queries spikes by 30-50% every November.
Three Square and The Just One Project cater to individuals, families, children, elderly, and veterans who do not have access to quality and nutritious food. Three Squares Food Rescue and Distribution programsourcing food from grocery storeshelps alleviate not only food insecurity but also food waste. In fiscal year 2021, they rescued more than 13.75 million pounds of food from retail locations.
Its amazing to see the lives these organizations have impacted here in Southern Nevada, said Kate Franko, Googles Regional Head of Public Affairs. With so much food going to waste every year, we are proud to support Three Square and The Just One project, organizations that are bringing food that would otherwise go to waste to those who need it the most.

Three Square Food Bank
Three Square Food Bank is Southern Nevada’s only food bank serving communities wherein more than 271,000 residents are considered food insecure. The organization has acquired and is rehabilitating a 32,370 square foot warehouse. The facility will house Three Squares Senior Hunger Program, its Benefits Outreach Services which facilitates the Federal Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, its Emergency Food Assistance Program, and its call center. The facility will serve 54,600 seniors and 65,000 additional residents annually and 15,000 students daily. The facility will create 5 new full-time positions and retain 19 full-time employees. The first federal transaction financed construction of the food bank facility, then the state and federal transaction financed working capital to provide the food.

Strike Out Hunger Sept 1
This September, Las Vegas Aviators and Reno Aces will meet for series in both Reno and Las Vegas. During each series and throughout the month of September, the teams will be rallying with their local food bank to claim the W in the Strike Out Hunger challenge.

Palate Restaurant & Bar Features American Classics With An Urban Twist For A Good Cause
The 12-day event gives Southern Nevadas restaurants the opportunity to showcase their venues and menus through culinary arts while also inviting the public to enjoy their favorite restaurants or try new spotsall while giving back to food-insecure residents across the valley. During Las Vegas Restaurant Week, participating restaurants across the valley develop prix fixe menussome offering breakfast, brunch, lunch and/or dinnerat price points ranging from $20 to $80. A fixed portion of the meals cost will directly support Three Square and the one in six
Southern Nevadans who are food insecure.
Palate Restaurant & Bar will offer dinner priced at $40 with options to enjoy dining in, patio dining, or take out. The first course will be a choice of Panzanella Salad, an heirloom tomato with crusted bread dressed with a house-made vinaigrette, a cup of house-made gratin of onion soup, or potato gnocchi served with crimini mushrooms in a sage and brown butter sauce. The second course will be a choice of Baked Salmon served on a bed of herb orzo pasta topped with a lemon butter sauce, 8-ounce New York Strip Steak with a side of Yukon gold potatoes, and balsamic Brussels sprouts or Mushroom Raviolis served with a medley of vegetables. The third course is a choice of warm bread pudding with chocolate sauce or New York-style cheesecake with caramel drizzle. The goal of this project is to provide volunteer opportunities for JLLV members and leadership opportunities for committee members. These shifts are meaningful and provide hands on experience and direct contact with those we are serving. Each food distribution could serve up to 100 families in need and thousands of pounds of food each year.

To put it in perspective, before COVID-19, more than 272,000 people in our community were food-insecure. Now, there are more than 447,000 people, including over 171,000 children, who dont know where their next meal is coming from. That is more people than the entire city of Henderson.
One in four children in Southern Nevada now lives in a household that is food insecure.
Three Square is Southern Nevadas only food bank and largest hunger-relief organization. While most of Three Squares work is done in Las Vegas, the organization benefits the counties of Clark, Lincoln, Esmeralda and Nye.

One Nevada Announces Shred Day Donation To Three Square Food Bank
Three Square Food Bank received $1,500 in donations from One Nevada Credit Unions annual fall shred day. The shredding service is free to the public, but donations were accepted benefiting Three Square. Las Vegas residents donated a record 300 pounds of food and $750 for the safe shred of their unwanted documents. One Nevada decided to match the donation for a total contribution of $1,500 to Three Square.
The One Nevada Shred Day donations will help Three Square in its mission to fight hunger across the valley, while pursuing a hunger-free community. At Three Square, $1 provides three meals so One Nevadas donation will contribute more than 4,500 meals to the effort.

The Giving Pump Through Oct 31
Now through Monday, Oct. 31, fill up at the Giving Pump which are specially marked colorful purple pumps at participating Shell stations across Las Vegas and a portion of the fill-up will be donated to Three Square.

Audacy Las Vegas 4 Corners Food Drive Sept 22
From 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 22 and Friday, Sept. 23, radio stations KXTE -107.5 FM, KMXB-94.1 FM, KXQQ-100.5 FM, KXNT-840 AM and KXST-1140 AM will participate in the two-day, live, on-air effort complete with prizes, storytelling and special guest interviews to raise funds for Three Square and the fight against hunger.
The 4 Corners Food Drive contributed an additional 210,000 meals in 2021, with a goal of providing 270,000 meals this year. Community members can take part by tuning in to participating Audacy radio stations on Sept. 22-23 and by calling 702-889-SHOW or donating to 4 Corners Food Drive online at www.threesquare.org/4corners.
