The food pantry ministry supplements the pantries of local families, honoring self-declared need. Recipients may choose foods best for their household. Ministry volunteers load the food directly into client vehicles.
The Food Pantry Regularly Scheduled Hours: Mondays And Wednesdaysfrom 1: 30 Am
St. Mary Queen of Creation’s mission statement states in part that “we are here to know, love, and serve God, and to make Jesus Christ known and visible.” We make Jesus, Christ known and visible through our actions here in the St. Mary Food Pantry. The pantry was created to serve the needs of the hungry in our community without regard to race, creed or religious affiliation. Its work stems from Christs biblical mandate as expressed in Matthew 25, I was hungry and you fed me I tell you, whenever you did this for one of the least important of these brothers of mine, you did it for me.
We provide canned goods, meats, fresh dairy, fruit, vegetables, breads and other baked goods. Clients can come once every 30 days.
If you are in need of assistance, the pantry is open Mondays and Wednesdays from 11:30am 1:30pm.
Where do the food donations come from? Parishioners, other area churches and organizations, school food drives, annual postal food workers drive, and the Macomb County Food bank. We also receive leftover food from Forgotten Harvest and a variety of local merchants such as Panera Bread, and KFC.
We are grateful to receive monetary donations from our parishioners as well as other churches, organizations and businesses in our local community.

St Mary’s Episcopal Church Food Pantry Ministry

Each aspect of our work at St. Marys is about building relationships. Our food pantry ministry provides space for an active and loving presence, touching individuals and families who, for whatever reason, find themselves without enough food to eat. The Food Pantry serves as many as 1,000 individuals and families each month with dry and canned goods, fresh bread, meat and produce.
There are many different jobs to do, including bagging bread and baked goods, picking up donated food from vendors, data entry, cleaning, packing, unloading food into the pantry and assisting clients. Volunteers come from St. Mary’s and its surrounding neighborhood, other churches, the military, schools and individuals who want to be a part of forming community in a relevant and meaningful way. Help is always needed.
Current pantry hours of operation: 3:00 p.m. on Tuesdays and 9:00 a.m. on Thursdays.
Call our staff at 904-354-5075 or email Emily Waters at for more information about accessing the pantry or to learn about volunteer opportunities.

Jazzys Place is an initiative of a New York-based foundation dedicated to keeping dogs out of shelters and with the people who love them. It provides grant funding to food pantries that is put on account at the Regional Food Bank and Food Bank of the Hudson Valley to be used specifically to acquire dog food for individuals and families who are struggling to feed themselves and their dogs. Jazzys Place is entering the second year of its dog food initiative, and is now pleased to be able to expand this program and invite additional food pantries to participate.
John and Murphy
John found Murphy in an alley wandering alone and scared. They have been constant companions since. Murphy is a sweet, personable little dog who loves people. We enjoy his visits and he is always so happy to see us.

Our Vision Is To See That No Child Goes To Bed Hungry So They Can Live Healthy And Productive Lives
One in four children in Arizona lives in poverty and is at risk of going to bed hungry tonight. Arizona ranks 47th out of 50 states in the number of children who may not know where their next meal is coming from. Our vision is to see that no child goes to bed hungry, so they can live healthy and productive lives. In response to these needs, St. Marys Food Bank operates programs that fight child hunger, including Kids Cafe® and the Backpack Program.
