Feed More is our core program. We solicited more than 10 million pounds of surplus last year from local, regional and national food sources. The food is then transported to our 65,000 square foot warehouse in Pennsauken. Nearly 250 emergency feeding programs access this food daily to meet the food needs of approximately 200,000 people living in food insecure households in communities across Camden, Burlington, Gloucester, and Salem counties.For more information, please call.

Cfbnj Food Pantry Hours
To get food from our mobile and on-site pantries run by our Egg Harbor Township location, clients must show proof of residence. Two forms are required: a state issued ID such as a drivers license, and a piece of mail with their name and address on it. A lease that lists all occupants is also accepted. To get food for school-aged children under 18, their school record with their name and address on it is accepted, and for children younger than school age, we will accept a birth certificate. In the event that parents are divorced, children can only be listed under one parent in our records.

Longtime South Jersey Food Pantry Temporarily Shuts Down It Ran Out Of Food
A community helper in Pitman, N.J., is scrambling to help again.
The Angels Community Outreach, a Pitman-based nonprofit that has helped tens of thousands of South Jersey residents with food, clothing, and other assistance over the last 13 years, shut down its food pantry this week.
It ran out of food on Tuesday.
PLEASE HELP- SADLY this is the FIRST TIME I have EVER had to do this, director Elissa Darrow posted on the groups Facebook page. Unfortunately we have to CLOSE our FOOD PANTRY until we can fill our shelves.
The group has put out an appeal for donations of food, other provisions, and cash to help replenish its pantry. People have been stepping up, and Darrow said she and her volunteers hope they may be back in operation as soon as next Tuesday.
The pantrys difficulties, however, are part of a larger picture of tough times: higher food costs, inflation, and struggling households.
With the way prices are rising, were just not getting as many donations because the people who used to be able to donate to us cant because the little extra money they had to donate now theyre spending on their own food, Darrow said.
Weve also seen an increase of people asking for help, she added. And its just not the person whos not working.
Even families with two wage-earners are finding it harder to cover their rent, car payment, and keep everyone fed, she said.
Were absolutely distributing food at pandemic levels at this point, Rife said.

The Food Bank of South Jersey provides life-saving food to nearly 200,000 children, seniors, and families in need through its network of 250 food pantries.
The Food Bank of South Jersey exists to provide an immediate solution to the urgent problem of hunger by providing food to people in need, teaching them to eat nutritiously, and helping them to find sustainable ways to improve their lives.
Our impact is realized and achieved primarily through procuring high quality, surplus food and providing it to seniors, children, the working poor, and other individuals and families in need of food assistance through the 250 member agencies which are part of our emergency feeding network. The members of this network consist of a diverse mix of emergency feeding programs, such as food pantries and soup kitchens, congregate feeding programs, senior and after-school feeding services, short and long-term shelter services, and drug and alcohol substance centers. It is through these members that the FBSJ distributes 10 million pounds of food to almost 200,000 food insecure individuals living in Camden, Salem, Gloucester and Burlington Counties.
Sustenance is a pressing need, but the need for finding paths to self-sufficiency is also essential. The Food Bank of South Jersey addresses both ends of that continuum with food to alleviate hunger and educational and job skills programming to improve lives.

The Southern Branch of the Community FoodBank of New Jersey is located in Egg Harbor Township and serves clients in Atlantic, Cape May, and Cumberland counties. Right off the Garden State Parkway, the Southern Branch offers on-location food pantry hours as well as a mobile pantry to help get food to hungry men, women, and children in more remote areas of South Jersey. Community Food Bank Of South Jersey To Host Mobile Food Distribution Event In Bridgeton

BRIDGETON, N.J. On Friday, the Community Food Bank of South Jersey will host a mobile food distribution open to all residents of Cumberland County. The event will take place from 10 a.m. to noon on April 30 at the Los Puentes grocery store, which is located at 147 Irving Ave. #2002 in Bridgeton.
To pre-register for your spot in this drive-through event, you can reach out to via email. All residents who participate must provide a form of ID, and they will also be required to wear a mask and socially distance while at the food distribution.

We package food orders for local soup kitchens and food pantries we purchase and collect food for distribution help people in need through SNAP application assistance reach communities with limited resources with mobile pantries and encourage others to get involved. Last year, we distributed food for over 86 million meals , 34% of which was fresh produce. We address hunger as a health issue by providing more fruits and vegetables, nutrition education, and medical screenings to inspire positive lifestyles. Community members from all walks of life engage in our mission through volunteer opportunities resulting in over 27,000 volunteer visits last year-equivalent to the work of about 31 full-time employees.

Community Food Bank Of South Jersey To Host Mobile Food Distribution Event On First Friday Of Every Month

Update 10 a.m. July 1: This food distribution event has been moved to today from its previously-scheduled time of July 2. It will take place from 10 a.m. to noon this morning.
Original Story: BRIDGETON, N.J. As part of their larger pandemic relief effort, the Community Food Bank of New Jersey and other entities such as the Division of Human Services and Hopeloft will host food distribution events for Cumberland County residents on the first Friday of every month.
Julys drive-thru food distribution will take place from 10 a.m. to noon on Friday, July 2 at Los Puentes grocery store, which is located at 147 Irving Ave #2002 in Bridgeton.. If you want to pre-register for the event, you can reach out to via email.
All community members who attend the food distribution event also are asked to bring a form of ID and follow COVID-19 PPE guidelines including mask-wearing and social distancing.
