Daily Bread Food Pantry
Many years later, after a small food distribution program started at St. Marys Church, the IHSP Daily Bread Food Pantry continues to focus on meeting the needs of food insecure families/individuals by supplementing their dietary needs with nutritious, healthy foods.
One of the ways we do this is by providing clients with dairy, juice and fresh/frozen fruits and vegetable coupons. They are distributed by family size. When in season, clients also have the option of using Farmers Market Coupons at the Riverview Marketplace only.
As a member of Connecticut Foodshare we receive and distribute government surplus staples. Through a partnership with Stop n Shop, Price Chopper and Big Y we receive fruits, vegetables and meat. We also receive donations from Cumberland Farms and Big Lots.
We are a CLIENT CHOICE Food Pantry . Along with a volunteer, clients select the items needed for the family.
Food donations are always welcome. Items in continuous need by our clients are: dry cereal, peanut butter, jelly, rice, canned or instant mashed potatoes, canned fruit, baked beans, vegetables, canned meats and tuna, soup, pasta and pasta sauce, crackers and juice. Personal care items such as shampoo, soap, toothpaste, toothbrushes , toilet paper and deodorant are also needed.

Our Board of Directors consists of stellar community members who believe in our mission and want to be the precursors to enable lasting change. They plan and form committees to ensure that this organization has the support and resources necessary to collaboratively feed Payne County.

Government Public Policy Drives Number Of Food Bank Visits
New research by The University of Calgary identifies the direct link between government policy and food bank use.
Using Daily Bread Food Bank data, the report reveals that that food bank visits directly rise with increases in rent, with falls in minimum wage and with reductions in the disability benefits available to individuals requiring social assistance.

Our Daily Bread Food Pantry
Our Daily Bread Food Pantry is open to anyone in the greater Wichita area who is hungry and needs food for themselves or their families. Many come for food because of an unforeseen crisis, illness, job loss or accident.
The pantry is operated on a client-choice model, meaning that clients can expect a shopping experience when they visit. With the help of a volunteer personal shopping assistant, the client chooses the items that they or their families will enjoy.
One time each month, clients may come to the pantry to select 2-3 days worth of food from a variety of fresh and canned fruits and vegetables, pasta and rice, breakfast items, dairy, canned and frozen meats and other proteins, and breads.
What We Aim To Solve
While the Marco Island, FL area is known as a wealthy beach resort community just south of Naples, the facts belie the reputation.43% of the children in Marco area schools are at or below the poverty level and receive free or reduced price breakfasts and lunches.And, just over the bridges from the island, the school rates are 90% at or below the poverty level with the majority being Spanish and Creole . When school is out for the summer or due to Covid-19, children no longer receive subsidized food.Marco Island is also known as a wonderful place to retire so we also have a large number of older citizens as well.Seniors, who are often struggling with health issues on a fixed income, are also at risk of becoming food-insecure.Many of our families must choose between paying for rent, utilities, medicine, or groceries. These all contribute to the food-insecure those who may not know where their next meal is coming from.

Great Lakes Brewery’s Hops For Hunger Campaign

During the month of December, Great Lakes Brewery is holding their 14th annual Hops for Hunger campaign.
For each can purchased of their exclusive White Eggnog Stout and Belgian Winter Ale, $1 thats one meal! goes to Daily Bread Food Bank.
You can pick up your holiday supply at the retail store located at 30 Queen Elizabeth Blvd. in Etobicoke, at the GLB Brewpub at 11 Lower Jarvis St., or through GLBs online shop for free local delivery.
The brewery is also collecting nonperishable food donations on site all month long.
Our Daily Bread ~ Mansfield Food Pantry
Our Daily Bread ~ Mansfield Food Pantry, has been serving the Mansfield community since 1997.
We distribute FREE food to Mansfield residents. The pantryis stocked with food items such as fruits and vegetables, fruit juice,cereal, pasta, rice, soups, and meats.
In 2021, more than 350 households representing almost 1000 people – families, senior adults, young couples, and single parent households – visited the pantry and took home more than 16,000 bags of groceries.
We are an all-volunteer run organization, and we rely on the generous support of local businesses and residents for both food and cash donations and to keep the pantry operating smoothly. Please consider giving or volunteering.
The pantry is located at 15A West Street, next to the Congregational Church, and across from the South Common.

Our Daily Bread is a soup kitchen in Baltimore City managed by Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Baltimore. Sacred Heart Parish supports Our Daily Bread’s ministry of outreach to the hungry by supplying casseroles and other items Provides emergency food and financial assistance to people in need. SERVICES: 1) FOOD PANTRY: Provides non-perishable food to residents in need. A volunteer will meet the client at the church or, if necessary, deliver the food to the client. Sacred Heart’s casserole is a ground beef and noodles recipe called “Zippy Beef”. - A fully completed application on file with the pantry.
- Head of household member must supply proof of identity for all persons listed on file
- Head of household member must supply proof of address within the past 60 days.
- Picking up for another household requires a completed proxy form.
