Who Can Visit A Drive
Drive-thru pantries are open for anyone who needs help getting food. There are no eligibility criteria. Visitors do not need to provide any identification or income statements.

You dont need to take appointment. Drive-thru pantries are first-come, first served so plan to arrive early.

EnergyUnited Foundation The EnergyUnited Foundation donated $10,000 to a local food pantry to provide support more supplies for the pantry.
STATESVILLE, N.C. The EnergyUnited Foundation has donated $10,000 to a local food pantry to provide more supplies.
EnergyUnited, which is based out of Statesville, donated the money to Hearts and Hands Food Pantry of Huntersville. The money will help purchase additional refrigeration and freezing equipment, and help with the purchase of bulk food.
Hearts and Hands was co-founded by Sandra Marks and Kenya Joseph with the goal of addressing food insecurity in their community. The mother-daughter team started their mission by collecting coupons to purchase for food for those in need. They went on to establish a food pantry.
We are thankful for each opportunity to serve our community and to work with partners such as the EnergyUnited Foundation, Joseph said. This donation will allow us to serve and store food for more clients in Mecklenburg County.
The EnergyUnited Foundation is a voluntary, member-funded nonprofit organization supported by EnergyUniteds Operation Round-Up program. The organization has donated to a number of other nonprofit organizations in the past

McCrary also asked the community to help keep their shelves stocked. He said donations of non-perishable food items are accepted during the resale shop’s normal hours.
“The biggest issue is getting the donations needed to replenish the food,” McCrary said.
The newly open food pantry is just another part of that mission and McCrary hopes people in need know they’re there to help.
“With us just opening on Thursday as a trial run, we only had one person come for assistance. With the coverage of our shop by your paper and by Fox46 News, we anticipate that once people know about us, we will quickly run out of food due to the overwhelming need for this right now,” McCrary said.
The food bank is part of the Iredell COAST Resale Shop and Community Food Bank located on Center Street. McCrary said that people can apply during the food bank’s regular hours, which are Monday through Thursday, from 12 to 2 p.m. An identification card is required, as well as a social security card, and proof of income for all members of the household.
McCrary also asked the community to help keep their shelves stocked. He said donations of non-perishable food items are accepted during the resale shop’s normal hours.
The Resale Shop and food bank are located at 833 N. Center St.
