The Food Bank of Northwest Louisiana serves as the primary resource for fighting hunger in Northwest Louisiana.They distribute food and other essential items to non-profit organizations who sever the needy.Food is also distributed to low-income seniors, half-way houses, and to individuals by emergency referral.They distribute over 3.5 million pounds of food to their member agencies and needy individuals every year.Their vision is to ultimately end hunger in Northwest Louisiana by ensuring a consolidated network of effective food collection and distribution which will provide universal access to free food for the needy in their communities.

318 Restaurant Week partners with the Food Bank of Northwest Louisiana to help raise money to combat hunger for many individuals and families in our region. A donation of $10 will provide $100 of food. Please consider donating. Your generosity will make a big difference in our community.
The Food Bank of Northwest Louisiana partners with over 150 nonprofit organizations and churches such as soup kitchens, food pantries, schools, and homeless shelters. Through these partnerships, they are able to reach over 75,000 people a year in Northwest Louisiana. These are children, the elderly, veterans, men and women, and families who struggle to put food on their table. The work of the Food Bank is not possible without the support of our community.

Home Federal Bank Gives To The Food Bank Of Northwest Louisiana
SHREVEPORT, LaHome Federal Bank , a wholly-owned subsidiary of Home Federal Bancorp, Inc. of Louisiana , recently donated $3,550 to the Food Bank of Northwest Louisiana in Shreveport.
HFB is donating $25 to a local charity for each closed, residential mortgage loan in 2017 for their Year of Giving. Each quarter a local charity — with a mission based around housing — will be chosen to receive the donation. HFB closed 142 residential first mortgage loans during the third quarter of the year, continuing their Year of Giving with a donation of $3,550 to the Food Bank of Northwest Louisiana.
