San Joaquin County Free Food Pantries
There are dozens of food pantries in the San Joaquin County area. The centers will distribute free canned goods and other items, such as personal hygiene supplies and maybe even holiday meals or gifts, to low income families. While each location of a soup kitchen or food bank near you will try to support all from the county, regardless of religion, age, or income, due to limited resources some may have a formal application process. Find locations below, as well as a free referral number at the bottom of the page.
There are food banks in all towns and cities, including Stockton, Manteca, and others. Each will have a limited amount of groceries to offer. Based on the generosity of donors, there may also be free baby formula or Thanksgiving and Christmas food baskets passed out. Most of these locations are also considered to be non-profits.
If a pantry can’t help, then they offer referrals or other forms of support. Whether it is a household item or maybe a senior that needs to enroll into Meals on Wheels, the locations can be turned to in an emergency.
These pantries serve the entire County. Whether it is food or items such as housing or cleaning supplies, the non-profits may be able to assist.
